The R-1009-40-R Cap closes the receiver in the ground while its bollard is lifted out. It stops dust and debris from collecting in the socket, and it covers the open hole so the spot is not a trip point for people on foot.
The cap is steel with a primer coat. It is sized for the receiver that comes with the R-1009-40-R bollard and does not fit other Reliance Foundry mounts. Check that your receiver came with an R-1009-40-R before ordering.
