The R-7551 is a decorative ductile iron bollard with a plain, non-fluted body. It measures 35-3/4 in tall and 6 in across the body, sits on a 10-1/4 in base, and weighs 78 lb. Without flutes it reads quieter than an ornamented post, which suits sites where the bollard should do its job without drawing attention to itself.
Use it either way. Fixed in place, the R-7551 blocks vehicle access at the point where it stands. Fitted over an existing pipe, it works as a cover and hides the pipe, and in that case the casting is a finish rather than the protection. The largest pipe it accepts is 4-1/2 in in diameter and 25 in in height.
