The R-8471-RA Single Locking Retractable Bollard is a stainless steel post that raises and lowers in place. Raised, it stands 35-1/2 in (902 mm) tall and blocks vehicle access at the opening it sits in. Retracted, it drops into its in-ground base, so delivery vans, service trucks and maintenance equipment can pass. Nothing has to be carried off and stored while the lane is open.
This is the single locking model, so the mechanism secures the bollard in the raised position only. The post is 4-1/2 in (114 mm) in diameter, the base diameter is 8.7 in (221 mm), and the weight is 65.21 lb (29.6 kg).
