The R-7176 is a plastic bollard cover, not a bollard. It fits over a pipe that is already in the ground and is not meant to stand on its own. It measures 49-1/2 in tall and 12-1/4 in across, with body and base the same width, and weighs 15 lb, so it is light to carry and fit.
It takes a pipe up to 10-5/8 in diameter and 44 in high. That range suits the larger steel pipe posts found at loading docks, drive-through lanes, fuel islands and around utility equipment, where a bare pipe can look worn and out of place next to the rest of the site.
What the cover changes is appearance. It conceals the pipe and gives a row of posts a clean, uniform face. It is not a security barrier and adds no protection of its own; the pipe underneath performs the same with or without the R-7176 fitted.
