The R-7242 is a bolt down steel bollard, 42 in (1,067 mm) tall, with a 4-1/2 in (114 mm) body and an 8 in x 8 in (203 x 203 mm) base. It weighs 45 lb (20 kg). The six extra inches over the 36 in R-7236 put the top of the post higher in a driver’s sightline, and that is usually the reason to choose this height over the shorter one.
As a bolt down bollard, it fastens to an existing surface rather than being set into new concrete.
