The R-7585 is a decorative bollard in ductile iron, with a fluted body. It stands 52-1/2 in tall, measures 9-1/2 in across the body, and widens to a 16 in base. It weighs 200 lb, so plan the handling and placement before the crew arrives. It is a Reliance Foundry product, supplied by Bollard Boys in Toronto and the GTA.
The record lists two roles. As a cover, it fits over an existing pipe post up to 8 in in diameter and up to 36 in in height. In that role it conceals and finishes the pipe, and it is not a security barrier in itself. Installed on its own as a bollard, it blocks vehicle access at the point where it stands.
The fluting and the wider base place the R-7585 among our traditional and historic bollards, alongside our decorative and cast iron ranges.
