The short, wide proportions give it a squat profile that holds its own at building frontages, plaza edges and drive aisles where a slim post would be easy to miss.
As a cover, the R-7736 fits over a pipe up to 10-3/4 in in diameter and 31 in high, which suits sites with a large post already in the ground. Used alone, it is a fixed bollard and blocks vehicle access at the spot it occupies. Keep in mind that sleeving a post changes its appearance only; the cover is not a barrier in its own right.
